The Hall of Bricks visits dozens of Lego sites and they link to what they believe is the best and most current Lego-related content. BrickGamers is honoured that they have chosen us to represent Malaysia!

If you don't already know by now, Left 4 Dead, from the makers of Half-Life and Counter-Strike (that's Valve to the uninitiated), is one of the most recent popular games to grace the industry. It lives off the whole "Zombie world" premise (like Resident Evil), but thanks to it's killer features, makes it a successful gaming attraction. This made BrickGamers decided to do a comic on it! :)
It's so popular, during the Lego Apocalypse theme initiated by fans internationally, elements of the game were made by users! We posted an entry here in October 2008 so go check it out too!
You can also see more pictures of the Lego Apocalypse based on Left 4 Dead by visiting the game's blog here.
Here's wishing all gamers, Lego fans, and those who put in hard work, may the year of the Ox bring you rewards for all that you put in, even in such tough economic times! BrickGamers wishes everyone all the best, and may we all pull through well in 2009! If our forefathers could do it a long time ago - then we can still do it with our modern technology age! Ganbatte to all! :D
For all those gamers guilty of staying up late playing games on the eve of big festivals, like this recent Lunar New Year, BrickGamers tips our Lego hats in your direction as we have done so! :)
For all those RTS (Real-Time Strategy) fans out there waiting for StarCraft II (SC2), behold the Banshee aircraft built by Flickr user Pepa Quin. We can all drool on it to ease the long wait, yes?
Poor Joe. His plan to pacify his girlfriend backfired (30th August 2008). Now he has to put up with the humilation of being bested by her. While we've heard of the phrase "the student becomes the master", in this case, it doesn't really warrant it!
While we're not sure how many gamers out there have such bad luck as Joe here, it is a fact that some gamer boyfriends have regretted introducing a game to their girlfriends - only to find her being addicted to the game even more than him! Case in point - Sims! Or any puzzle-based games!
Hint: There's an Easter Egg in the comic above - see if you can spot it! For the answer, just highlight the area below with your mouse pointer!
Joe Vig is a Lego culture joke about a minifig (miniature figurine) who always wears a red top and is prone to bad luck - kinda like the jinx of the Lego world. Just Google to find out about him.
When a software company's production is too popular, chances are they will start to take drastic measures like these to prevent pirated (illegal) copies of their game or application to run. However, there's also a downside to this for the legal or legit user. They're force to put up with hardships even though they're honest. Does that mean it doesn't pay to pay? We let you decide...
That's right! BrickGamers have now opened the Forum over on Brickboy! Head on over there if you want to mingle with other local Lego Malaysian fans! The Forum also covers Collectible Toys as carried by Brickboy Brothers shops in Sunway Pyramid and soon in the new Tropicana City Mall!
It feels like what they say "Any moment is as good as the next...".
2009 seems like a stumbling start. The economy, the mode of the world with a war to boot. How can we have all the "fun" to ourselves? Let the minifigs (Lego Mini Figurines) join the fray we say! That's the main idea behind BrickLives (bricklives.blogspot.com), BrickGamers' sister comic series.
We're not sure whether it's due to the change of pace in life, an over-saturated gaming market, or too much unpolished software, but it's an established fact that the current trend of an average gamer is that they now have more unfinished titles on hand than not!
With seemingly multiple epic titles being released very close with each other, and current demands of real life, we gamers ourselves won't know who to blame either!
BrickGamers started out in 2006 appearing in GameAxis, the leading South-East Asia regional gaming magazine, and soon went on to garner support and accolades from the local gaming and LEGO® community. Touching on a broad scope of topics, BG turned out to be a way to make the investments pay themselves off. Today they continue the success online, and ventures forth into territories untouched. We can be contacted at bricklives@gmail.com for syndication of our comics, link exchange, advertising, informercials, and more!
