Brick Gamers 01 - Where It Began

This is where it all began. The first Brick Gamers appeared in the September 2006 issue of GameAxis Unwired Malaysia, the leading gaming magazine in the country, and part of the network of leading gaming magazine in the South-East Asia (SEA) region.

The first comic used the 3x2 panel format, which had to appear horizontally in the mag, and made it hard to read, so it was changed in the following issue for a better vertical layout. Then on all BG comics followed this format, which was suitable for a mag, but not online, hence BG Online follows the 1x5 format. That's why converted mag comics online have to be opened in a new window, as the confined display space would be too small to read the text.

BG01 touched on the popularity of Counter-Strike (CS), which at times, seemed like more students knew about firearms than they did about maths! This issue was the butt of jokes in the first BG comic. Of course, as they say, the rest is history :)
