Final fantasy Minifig no longer a fantasy?

Of the amount of interesting characters from the almost infinite game worlds out there surely there are some characters which you wish LEGO would made into official set. Well, if that is not going to happen you might want to consider doing it yourself.

Don't You Just Hate It When...

If you've played one of the newer computer games, Call of Duty 4 (CoD4), you'll run into this scenario where you'll just curse out in the battlefield until air support does arrive...which might be a good thing because you'll be so filled with rage, you'll actually kill enough enemies for reinforcements to arrive!

Battle Cruiser is Online

In-line with the news that the Blizzard computer game StarCraft2 will be out soon around end of the year or so, there's been a rise in the interest of all things StarCraft - and Lego fans are no exception!

This is a Terran Battlecruiser, built by BrickShelf user Vana, which we might add, borders on the level and class of Lego's own Ultimate Collection sets! We sure would like to see Lego make this set as an official offering - assuming there's such a partnership with Blizzard to make these!

Brick Gamers 23 - Why 'Nerds' Stay Home

Let's face it, the people who play games, computer games that is, started out as 'nerds'. Sure these days almost everyone plays computer games, thanks to the commercialisation of it all, like how almost everything else ends up being turned into a profit by making it 'cool'.

However, at the end of the day, the 'nerds' still own because they're the hardcore gamers. They have the passion and the drive to stay home and work at their games until they're unmatched by 'noobs' who come in and try their luck. The downside is, they might not be good outdoors.

Yet, with these days cost of living going up due to increased oil prices worldwide, maybe 'nerds' have it good after all, because now, more people are going to stay at home! Brick Gamers takes a spin on this topic in our 23rd Lego comic!

Lego Sentry Gun

While Lego might not approve of making Lego guns, you really can't stop Lego fans from making anything they want from Lego - including guns. In this case, it's an automated Sentry Gun, inspired by the computer game Team Fortress 2. This is definately no easy feat to make!

Is DOTA that bad?

DOTA, or Defense of the Ancients, is a spin-off the computer real-time strategy (RTS) game WarCraft3. It took on popularity in Malaysia, and is still being played in the local cybercafes, just like how CounterStrike (CS), seemed too stubborn to budge from the local gaming scene. As a result, there have been a lot of condemnation about DOTA players in Malaysia, but, is DOTA really that bad when we have good players...and they even learn stuff from it? Well...some stuff...

Digital Stone Age
